Psychology is a developing scientific field. It mainly focuses on human behavior, emotion, and cognition. Each of many subfields examines and conducts research on human-related subjects. Clinical Psychology, besides scientific research on psychopathology and therapy techniques, uses the results of those research from all subfields to help people with both daily life and major life-changing problems.

In Turkey, graduating from a psychology major is enough to conduct a therapy session as a psychologist but it doesn’t mean that you are ready. During undergraduate education, you learn almost every subfield of psychology. Therefore, there is not enough time to specialize in therapy techniques or conducting a therapy session, as a matter of fact, you wouldn’t have the opportunity to practice enough during those years either. For those reasons, every psychologist needs more training, such as clinical psychology master’s, private certificated training, and so on…

To conclude, if you want to be a psychologist or you are already a psychologist, you should know that your education will never end. Beginnings are the hardest, but with time everything is gonna be okay…
